Rod was born in Midale, Saskatchewan and passed

away at Glacier View Lodge at the age of 87.

He is survived by his loving wife Margaret, daughters Jennifer (Rand), Lorna (Mike), and Patricia, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brothers Dennis and Ray.

Rod served with the RCAF during WWll as an Air Gunner. He was attached to the RAF #78 Bomber Squadron, and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross. After the war he continued with the airforce and worked in operations. After retiring from the airforce Rod then worked with Canadian External Affairs for many years at Embassies around the world.

Rod enjoyed curling, golfing, all animals and the outdoors. He was a Freemason, member of the Legion and a Charter member of the Airforce Association.

No formal service by request. A Memorial will be held at 888 (Komox) RCAF Wing, Saturday, January 21st at 2:00 pm.

The family wishes to thank all the angels at Glacier View Lodge for their kind and loving care. In lieu of flowers donations to Glacier View Lodge would be appreciated.
