passed away February 14, 2005


Predeceased by mother Laila, father Lars, sister Joan and brother Peter. Survived by daughter Teresa (Murray) McNee and granddaughters: Amanda & Brittany, son Doug of Courtenay, sister Ann (Stu) Isbister of Royston, nephew Allan (Sandra) Erikson of Courtenay and many other nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind many relatives in Sweden.

Swede was born in Moncton in 1932. Moved to Sweden in 1937 and back to Canada in 1948. Swede came to the Valley and spent most of his life logging and worked at Eve River for many years until his retirement in 1997. Bobby left quite a story behind him and we invite you to share them at his “Celebration of Life” in one week at the Elks Club on 4th Street in Courtenay. The gathering will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 26th. He was much loved and will be sadly missed. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
