September 18, 1952 - September 24, 2023

Dick fought a huge battle the last few months and passed away on September 24, 2023 in Nanaimo Hospital.

Dick was born on September 18, 1952 in Comox. He just managed to make his 71st birthday! He spent most of his working career as a commercial fisherman, then tugboat operator on the Vancouver Island Coast. After retiring from the tugs, he became a bus driver between Port Hardy and Port McNeill. He had a fulfilling life as a sports fan, hunter, sports fisherman, gardener and a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and great uncle!! Jim and the hunting crew will terribly miss their hunting partner.

From a large family of six, he leaves behind five siblings -Patti, Jim (Karen), Denise, Bill (Linda) and Dave (Sandra), nephews and nieces, Rod, Brad, Alysha, Travis, Kent, Riley and Dana and their families. He also adored his great nieces and nephews.

Dick was also a great uncle to some of his Port McNeill friends' children, plus in general being a good friend to many both in Port McNeill and the Comox Valley.

He will be missed but will carry on in our hearts forever!

Till we meet again!

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Comox Golf Club on Nov 10th at 1:00 PM. 1718 Balmoral Ave, Comox BC V9M 2N1.
