1918 - 2005

Born July 29th, 1918 in Victoria passed away peacefully on March 27th, 2005 in White rock. He is predeceased by his beloved wife Lilian in 2001 and is lovingly remembered by his 3 daughters: Barbara (Jeremy), Brenda Rae (Michael) and Ardele; 4 grandchildren: Lisa, Robert, Rayna and Richelle; his companion and dog Nicky; as well as all his dear friends. Ray worked for the Vancouver School Board for over 30 years as a teacher, counsellor and principal retiring in 1979. After his retirement, he and Lilian moved to their summer home (Camp) in the Courtenay/Comox area. Ray became an accomplished painter. They later moved to Sidney where they enjoyed an active retirement. Everyone will miss Ray for his kind and generous nature and his wonderful sense of humor. Celebration of Life to be announced later. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke and/or Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.
