Raymond Archibald Woods passed away peacefully on December 29, 2001 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Predeceased by his wife Helen, his parents James and Agnes, his brother James. Raymond is survived by his son Rick (Sandra); daughters: Karen, Kelly (Mark), and Debbie; granddaughters: Judy (Matt), Sherrie (Brian); and great grandson Joshua. Also survived by his brothers: Vic and Byron, and his sister Alice and their families.
Ray enjoyed the finer things in life. Fishing trips with his family and friends, family dinners and morning coffee with his friends. He was a true dad treasuring time with his family and taking pride in their accomplishments.
We’ll miss our father’s flavourful sense of humour, his advice and his infamous one-liners.
As Woodsy would say,
“We’re shuttin err down”
Everyone is welcome to join us for a celebration of Ray’s life to be held on Sunday, January 20, 2002 at the Coast Westerly Hotel in the Courtenay/Comox Room from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ray’s name may be made to the BC Lung Association, 2675 Oak Street, Vancouver, BC V6H 2K2.
