With her family at her side, Phyllis Pearce passed away peacefully at Glacier View Lodge, Courtenay on March 11, 2005. She was predeceased by her husband Charles,

her sister Joan and her sister-in-law Mary. Phyllis is survived and will be sadly missed by her son Peter (Sheila) Pearce of Comox, her grandchildren Michael, Sharon, Sandra, Richard and Christopher, her step grandchildren Gillian and Colin, her great-grandchildren Megan, Jason, Oryanna, Bianca, Janice, Douglas, Phyllis and Kevin, her brother Harold in England, her brother-in-law Norman and sister-in-law Edna as well as her nieces and nephews. She came to Canada in 1952 and lived in the Comox Valley for over 40 years. She also lived in Prince Rupert for 3 years and Duncan for 3 years. Phyllis was a member of the Rotary Anns, Courtenay Youth Music Society and the Canadian Federation of Artists having 3 shows at the Filberg Gallery for her acrylic paintings. She also worked in Hong Kong in 1951. A Service of Remembrance celebrating her life will take place at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 Church St., Comox on Monday, March 21st, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. with the Reverend Jim Lyster officiating. If friends so wish donations in Phyllis’ memory may be made to Glacier View Lodge, 2450 Back Road, Courtenay B.C. V9N 8B5 or St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 218 Church Street, Comox, B.C. V9M 2G3 with appreciation. Arrangements entrusted to COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
