Liszt, Peter Haines
1927 - 2005
My darling husband Peter Liszt passed away at our home in Comox early in the morning of December 11 at the age of 78 years.
Peter was born in New York and volunteered, although underage, to serve his country in the U.S. Forces. He later worked as an architect, a career he loved in Los Angeles for Wallace Neff and Jack Warner of the Warner Brothers Studio, as well as a variety of other projects. He also spent time working in San Diego. Peter often said one of the best moves he ever made was to come to BC in 1985 and truly appreciated the Canadian way of life, especially the many camping trips we had on Vancouver Island and the years we spent on Denman Island. Peter will be fondly remembered for his great sense of humour and ability to put a smile on all he met.
He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Janet, children: Robert (Arleen), Kerri (Johnny), John (Stacy), Michael (Kelly), Jeffrey (Heather); and 12 grandchildren, as well as his many friends. A Private Service of Remembrance will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation or to the charity of your choice. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s/Mt. Washington Funeral Home and Crematorium.
