A teacher for more than 30 years – 25 years in the Comox Valley – Peter was a lifelong activist for social justice and environmental protection, an outdoors enthusiast, a loving husband, father and grandfather, an unbeatable trivia buff, and a renowned (if not fully appreciated) punster.
He died suddenly and painlessly of a heart attack.
Peter leaves behind his wife Karen, children Glen, Donna and Tom, grandchildren Sophie and Marcus, and his brother Don. He is predeceased by his brother Bob.
We are terribly saddened by his unexpected demise, but we are so grateful for the powerful memories of a man with a doggedly unique perspective and a quiet determination to speak his mind. He had a passion for fighting injustice and challenging established views.
