Williams, Paul Fredrick

14 Apr 1934 - 3 Mar 2006

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Paul (Willie) Williams.

Paul is survived by his wife of 51 years, Nedra, and children Fran Jenkins (Gord) of Port McNeill, and Russ (Tina) of Fort Erie, Ontario. He is also survived by his only brother, Phillip (Beverley) of Fort Erie, and grandchildren, Russ, Brady and Christina, and great-grandchildren, Jalen and Tyra.

Born in Toronto, Ontario, Paul joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1951 and served Canada for 30 years. Paul has been a resident of the Comox Valley for 27 years. He contributed to the community through his associations with the Comox Valley Lions Club and the Monarch Lions Club for over 20 years, and also as the Commanding Officer of the Air Cadet Squadron for a short time.

Paul touched and warmed the lives of all who met him. He was a man of integrity, kindness, and above all, humour. Paul loved a good laugh, and filled the life of those around him with laughter, even in his illness. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friend. He will be truly missed by those who knew and loved him. Paul was an inspiration in acceptance, strength, dignity in his battle with cancer, and he passed embraced in the love and support of his family.

We would like to thank the friends and family who did so much to help during the past few months. We would especially like to thank Dr. D. Musgrave, the Home Care Nurses and Home Support Workers who provided such wonderful care and support to Paul and his family. In appreciation of these angels in our lives, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to:
