Sexton, Olga
Born in Lachwa, Poland on June 6, 1921, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2003 at St. Joseph’s General Hospital. She is survived by her spouse of 63 years, Art; children Vince (Penny) Sexton, Joyce (Dick) Ward, Ted (Carol) Sexton, Al (Noelleen) Sexton, Richard (Patti) Sexton and Gordon (Sandy) Sexton; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers Fred Kunkle and George Schierer; sister Violet Weir; two very special nieces, Carol and Candice; special nephews Ed and Robert, as well as many other nieces and nephews. Olga, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, was a kind, generous, hardworking woman, whose greatest joy was her family. She took great pleasure in her flower gardens and outdoor work such as fires, grass cutting and leaf raking, as well as playing cards. Olga was known for her wonderful meals and baking. She was the heart of the home and will be greatly missed. Special thanks to Lucy, who was always there for her and her family, as well as the caring nurses on 3rd floor at St. Joseph’s Hospital. A Service of Remembrance was held on Tuesday, July 29th from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Courtenay. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 Ryan Road, entrusted with arrangements. Should friends desire, donations in Olga’s memory to the Comox Valley Hospice Society, 2137 Comox Avenue, Comox, B.C. V9M 1P2 or the Canadian Cancer Society, 102 - 1509 Cliffe Avenue, Courtenay, B.C. A cluster of beautiful
memories sprayed with a
million tears
Wishing God had spared you
for a few more years
Thanks for the years you gave
us and for the happy times we
shared.
We know that when you left us
You knew how much we cared
Again our family chain is broken and nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one our chain will link again.
