Hiebert, Norman Edwin
May 13, 1927 - April 22, 2003
Passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2003. He is pre-deceased by his parents Philip and Susan Hiebert. Norman is survived by his loving wife Naida, sons Dennis of Comox, Graeme (Heather) of Burnaby, BC and grandson Erik.
Norman was born in Chaplin, Saskatchewan, the family moved to B.C. in 1931. In 1957 Norman moved to the Comox Valley where he married his love Naida in 1959. They built a home near Royston where they still reside. He worked at the City of Courtenay Public Works for 27 years. One of Norman’s many projects was renovating the Sid Williams Theatre. He was well known for his volunteer work with the C.B. Radio Club and The Snow to Surf Committee. He was very active and enjoyed golfing and curling. He will be deeply missed and ever loved.
A Memorial Service will be held from Comox Valley Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Road, on Tuesday, April 29th, 2003, at 3:00 P.M. with a reception to follow in the “Garden Room” of the Funeral Home.
