Carter - Nancy Diane (nee: Witherstone) of Courtenay, B.C., formerly of Richmond Hill, ON, beloved wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 31, 2001 at age 64. Nancy is survived by her loving husband John of Courtenay; her daughter Kimberley McGrath of Aurora, ON; her sons: Gregory and his wife Muriel Hardy of Barrie, ON, and Glenn and his wife Theresa Hardy of Mississauga, ON; and by her step-sons: William, James, and Andrew Carter and their families. Also will be dearly missed by her grandchildren: Chauntel, Ryan, Justin, Alex, Christopher, Damien, Charlotte, Jacqueline, Lauren, Lisa Kathleen, Ryan and Cameron and by her sister Beverley (Keith) Thompson of Bracebridge, ON, and by many other relatives and friends. Nancy devoted her life to people in need, she was an accomplished registered nurse who specialized in transitional nursing. She retired with John to the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia and enjoyed traveling and visiting with her family, friends and neighbors. Loving thanks to her neighbors and friends and especially Barb, Jean, Zeth, Megan, and Joan for their assistance and loving support.
