In Loving Memory ~

Mike slipped away peacefully on July 8, 2024 with his wife beside him after a long and hard fought battle with cancer.

Mike is survived by his wife and soul mate Cindy, his daughters Lee, Aaron, Naomi and his step son Matt (Elly), 10 grandchildren and one great grandson. His brothers Jack and Gerry of Ontario as well as more family and friends than we can count.

He was predeceased by his son Mitchell, mother Loretta, father Larry, sister Theresa, granddaughter Rosa and grandson Jackson.

Mike was born in Pembroke, Ontario and moved to the Comox Valley in the spring of 1995. He worked a variety of jobs until he and Cindy were able to realize his dream and bought his first tow truck in 2008. Through a lot of hard work and some lean times, they slowly built Valley Affordable Towing and Scrap Metal into what it is today. Mike lived his dream!

Mike was larger than life and had a heart to match. He was always there if you needed a hand, and never asked for anything in return. A true friend to so many.

A celebration of life will be held at Saratoga Speedway on August 11, 2024 from 2pm-4pm, please bring your own chairs. We want to line the track with old cars and tow trucks so if you have them, please bring them. We know that you all would love to do burnouts and smoke shows for Mike but out of respect for Saratoga we ask that you please do not do any at the track or on the highway anywhere near the track. Instead let's leave all your treads in front of Mike's house and lets paint the road for him.

No flowers but please donate to "Donny Burger's cancer campaign" so we can see that boy shaved. Mike wants the beard gone too!!!
