MAX BERESFORD TRIMMER
May 25, 1917 — July 2, 2004
Max Beresford Trimmer passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Comox, B.C. on July 2nd, 2004 aged 87 years. Max was predeceased by his first wife Lily and his second wife Doris. He is survived by his children; Josephine (Rollie) Parent of Windsor, Ont., Toni of Windsor, Ont., Elaine of Oldcastle, Ont., Terry (Nancy) of Detroit, Mich., Kevin of Windsor, Ont., Tom (Merm) of Sointula, B.C., and T.C. of Windsor, Ont., his grandchildren; John, Marc, Leslie, Karen, Heather and Elise, his great grandchildren Corey and Lily, his special friend Sunny, numerous other relatives and friends. Max served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. Before the war he started out working in the engine room on ships and by the end of the war he was working in the wheelhouse. Later he worked as a mine captain for Canada Rock Salt and finally ended up working for MacMillan Bloedel in Marathon, Ontario and Menzie Bay, B.C. Max enjoyed woodworking and built a canoe, a kayak and furniture. He was a quiet man who liked to be alone but loved the time he spent with his family. A Celebration of his Life was held in the Chapel of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY, B.C. with the Rev. Gord Carter officiating.
