Mary Patricia Shannahan Terhaar

August 30, 2005

Terhaar, Mary Patricia Shannahan (Pat)

Born November 30, 1930 passed away suddenly and peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, August 30th, 2005.

Pat was a long-time resident of Cumberland, moving here in 1965, with her two children, Rebecca and David. Pat worked very hard throughout her life. She was a member of Rebekah Harmony Lodge and she loved her sisters. Pat was a good, good person who always went out of her way to help others. She was loved by many and will be very, very missed by all, especially by her family who knew her for her warmth, generosity, unconditional love and pride of her family as well as her crazy sense of humor. Pat loved to paint and has won first place at the Fall Fair. She will be terribly, terribly missed by her family; daughter Rebecca Parlby (Jerry); son David (Lesca); grandchildren: Michael, Jonathon, Anthony and Crystal; great-grandchildren: Austin and Jayden Parks. Pat is also survived by daughters: Lydia, Chris-Ann, Wendy and their families; sisters: Teresa, Naomi and Eileen; brother Buddy and extended families Bates/Thompsons, especially Dorothy, Satch and family. Goodbye to the best mom and grandma ever. We will miss you always. Your mom, Lizzie, Ann, Barb, Ethel and Joey are there to greet you. Remember the light blubs.

A Service of Remembrance in Celebration of her Life will take place on Saturday, September 3rd, 11:00am at the Cumberland Masonic Lodge. Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, entrusted with arrangements.
