CRAWFORD, Marian A.
(nee: Morrison)
1933 ~ 2004
Marian was born October 8th, 1933 in Port Alberni and passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her husband, children, grandchildren, special relatives and friends on June 23rd, 2004.
Marian will always be remembered for her amazing gift to provide unconditional love, wisdom, strength, guidance and a tremendous sense of humour to all who knew her. She was the youngest daughter of Jack and Agnes Morrison. Marian attended Victoria Normal School graduating at age 17 and although her first love was to be a veterinarian, she decided on a career as teacher working at elementary schools in Prince Rupert, Pringe George, Coquitlam and finally in the Comox Valley, where she will be forever remembered by a great number of her students. Marian was also a very active and grateful member of A.A. for over 25 years, her dedication and love influenced many to follow in her footsteps. She will be sadly missed by her loving husband of 46 years, Dennis, daughter Ann, sons John and Bob, grandchildren Serena and Chase, brother Dr. Kenneth Morrison (Eleanor) cousins Maureen and Doug Riely and their families. A Memorial Service to celebrate Marian’s life will be held on Saturday, July 3rd, 2004 at 2:00 pm from St. George’s United Church on Fitzgerald Ave. and 6th St. with Pastor Gordon Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations made in Marian’s name to the Comox Valley Hospice Society, 2137 Comox Ave., Comox, B.C. V9M 1P2 would be greatly appreciated.
