Greene, Margaret (McQuhae) Killoran
1912 - 2003
Aged 90, a resident of St. Joseph’s Extended Care Unit, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2003.
Predeceased by her husband Ralph Killoran, and second husband Les Greene, Margaret will be sadly missed by her daughters Kathy (Jerry) Fleishman, Marylou (Gil) Bennett, Kerry (Bruce) Isenor, son Dan (Rose) Killoran and stepdaughter Marion (Bruce) Ball. Margaret is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchidren.
Margaret moved from Ontario to the Comox Valley in 1956 with her husband Ralph, a member of the RCAF. Mom worked as a teacher at Courtenay High School, and as a social worker in Campbell River and Quadra Island.
In 1965 Margaret moved to Victoria, where she continued to teach until 1971. Upon her retirement Mom traveled the world. Every trip was a great adventure for Mom, with her finding joy in experiencing the cultures and people of many different countries. Her last overseas visit was to China in her 80th year.
Thanks is extended to the excellent health caregivers at St. Joseph’s ECU. Mom was very happy and appreciative of the care given to her during her three year stay at Eagleview.
Private family cremation arrangements entrusted to Comox Valley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1101 Ryan Rd, Courtenay, BC.
