Margaret G. Rose passed away in the arms of her daughter after a short illness at Campbell River on June 9th, 2005.

She is survived and will be sadly missed by her husband Siegfried Rose; her daughters: Susanne Boddie of Port Orchard, Washington and Martina Gunter (Harry) of Courtenay, B.C.; her grandchildren: Chantal Boddie, Kylen Boddie, Christina Boddie, Tyler Gunter, Dominic Boddie, Travis Gunter and Riley Gunter; as well as her extended family Richard and Anneliese Haefner, Alfred Abel, Walter Abel, Thomas Abel, Brandon Abel, Ryan Abel and Angella Abel. Margaret also leaves to mourn her brother Herbert (Erika) Sandmann of Germany; her sisters: Anneliese Sieker of Germany, Gisela (Frank) Wippler of Ontario and Ursula (Werner) Schneider of Germany; and many nieces and nephews. Margaret was an active member of the Comox Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church serving as a board member, treasurer and deaconess. She also served her community doing volunteer work in the local soup kitchen, as a CHIP Program Co-ordinator, stop smoking seminars and made quilts for impoverished families overseas as part of the ADRA Program. She owned and operated Mother Nature Health Foods in Campbell River, B.C. for over 20 years. In her leisure time Margaret enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening and walking. She was an unselfish caregiver who put others needs before her own. She was a true friend to all who knew her. A Funeral Service took place at the Comox Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1424 Krueger, Merville on Tuesday, June 14th at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Howard Homenchuk officiating. Burial followed at Courtenay Civic Cemetery. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, entrusted with arrangements. Donations in Margaret’s memory made to the ADRA Program in c/o Siegfried Rose, RR#2, Site 270, C13, Courtenay B.C. V9N 5M9 would be appreciated.
