In loving memory ~

Marcel Joseph Ruel, died peacefully in Victoria, BC on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024 surrounded by the love of his wife and 3 children.

Marcel was born in Port Alberni, BC, met his wife in Mission and had lived in Courtenay for the past 20 years. Marcel was predeceased by his mother Therese (Terry), father Egide (Jed) and 2 brothers Mark and Len

Marcel is survived by his wife, Louise, daughter Brittany (Chris), sons; Jamie and Kasey

5 grandsons; JC, Ryland and Linkin Smith-Ruel, Parker and Blake Dittkowski

Brothers; Richard, Neil (Patty) and sister Lisa (Scott)

His close friends Ray, Darcy, Wayne, Darren and many more.

Marcel was an auto body Tech for over 35 years. He loved his work so much that he brought it home when he built his 69 Chevy Nova, his 91 Trooper and the latest project, the love of his life 69 Datsun pickup.

A Celebration of Marcel's life will be held on Saturday, July 6th, 2024, from 11am-4pm at 1091 Frances Road Merville.

The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff in the ICU at Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria for all the care and support given to Marcel while he was there.
