In 1950 at the Newcastle & Gates Head Clarion Cycle club, he met his future wife. In June of 1956, he married the love of his life. In 1960 Malcolm and his young family immigrated to Canada, and settle first in Hamilton, and then in Burlington, Ontario. Where he worked for Westinghouse. In 1979 Malcolm packed up his growing family, and moved across Canada to Kaslo, BC. After a few years he moved them to Courtenay, BC, where he worked at Central Builders until he retired in 1996. During this time, he started his hobby of building wooden toys. In recent years his crafts had been in high demand, at the Comox Valley Art Gallery. His hobby has brought happiness into homes and families from Vancouver Island, to Sweden, The Middle East and points around the globe.
