Mabel passed away quietly at home in the presence of her family on Friday, February 25th, 2005 at 9:45 a.m. Mabel was predeceased by her husband Arthur in 1992; parents William and Sarah Ann Galilee (nee: Heppell); sister Doreen and brother James. Mabel is survived by her children Brian (Sylvie) of Black Creek, Dot Main (Bob) of Courtenay, Anne Harty (Dave) of Fanny Bay, Ray (Bonnie) of Chilliwack, Joan Mantee (Alex) of Regina, SK, Joanne Genaille (Rene) of Peace River, AB, Gordon Malboeuf of Saskatoon, SK, Rod Malboeuf of Edson, AB, Laura (Terry), Barry Malboeuf (Paula) of Petawawa, ON and Mary Malboeuf of Courtenay; her grandchildren: Karen (Karl) McLellan, Cory (Elita), Anthony (Michelle), Colin (Jen), Kevin (Tara), Michael (Laura), Chrissy, Aaron, Jesse, Christopher, Cody and Kelii and her sister Margaret Howells of England. A celebration of Mabel’s life will be held at the Kiwanis Village Centre, 635 Pidcock Ave., Courtneay on Friday, March 4, 2005 at 1:00 p.m.
Mabel was born at Seaham Harbour, UK in 1926. She married Arthur Richardson on September 20, 1947 and they lived in various places throughout England. They moved to Canada in 1968 and resided in Saskatchewan until 1981 where they moved to Comox. Mabel loved God, gardening, sewing and collecting teddy bears! Mabel was a warm, friendly, loving person who was dedicated to her family, children, grandchildren and friends. She will be missed and lovingly remembered by us all.
