In Loving Memory ~
Lorette Bouman (De Koster) died peacefully on April 28, 2023, in Victoria, B.C with family by her side. Lorette is survived by two sons, Dan and Paul (Sheila), and grandchildren Cavell, Jordan, Kaleb, Mckylie and Sydney. She is loved like a mom and grandma by Gino Scott, his family and Gord Woo. She will be dearly missed by her friends and extended family locally and overseas.
Lorette was born in Rotterdam NL in 1936 and was the last of her siblings. Her childhood was impacted by WW11, including spending time away from home to escape the bombardment of her hometown. In adulthood, she met her husband Bonne and they immigrated to Canada in 1961, settling in Sarnia, Ontario, then moving to the Comox Valley in 1972. Always nicely attired, Lorette spent many years fostering children and maintaining a busy household. Later activities included sailing, travelling in the RV, and walking along beaches, especially in Tofino.
