On 29 March 2002, Loretta Mary Cameron, after a brief illness, passed away peacefully in Comox, BC. She was in the presence of her husband, sons, and family members.


Loretta was born in Mattawa, Ontario. She met her husband Jack in Montreal and was wed on 26 Oct 1944. They moved to Winnipeg and enjoyed many years, adventures, and friendships, that have lasted a lifetime. In 1996 Jack and Loretta moved to Comox, BC to be close to their son and grandchildren.


Loretta was a devoted wife, mother, and special friend. She always had time for her family and friends. Her presence had a special influence on many of us. Her hugs, love, special moments, and her ability to listen and guide us will always be cherished and missed by all. She will always remember her special friends: Alan Mason, Vera Fedak, Dorothy Ward, and the bowling gang!


Loretta is survived by her husband and soulmate Jack; her sisters: Adel, Alice, and Marg from Ontario; her two sons: Allan from Ottawa, and Brian from Comox. She will also be greatly missed by her daughters-in-law: Judy and Sheila; her grandchildrren: Heather and David from Comox, Keith and his wife Heather, Neil, Amy, Brent and Shana from Ontario; and her great grandchildren: Nathan and Matthew.
