It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Lloyd Gano of Courtenay on February 10, 2025, at the age of 91.

Lloyd was born in Crossfield, Alberta to Burr and Ivy Gano. He is predeceased by brothers Berni and Alton. In 1956, Lloyd married Stephanie Shulhan (deceased) and had four children: Debra, Dwight, Laurie, and Wesley.

He leaves grandchildren: Jolene, Stephanie, Bianca, Michael and Michele and great-grandchildren: Alexander, Nathan, Lauren, Cooper, Cody, Colton, Lili, Payton, Kenziy and Kade.

After logging in the Okanagan, Lloyd came to Vancouver Island to continue his trucking business. It is here that He met Mini in 1993, and she became his partner in crime!! They were together till his passing. He leaves stepchildren: Brian, Brad and Bruno Marsili and step grandchildren: Anthany, Atley, Alexander, Summer, Noah, Charlie, Lacey, Benjamin, and Eli. Lloyd was proud and happy of his flying license and enjoyed flying very often. As well as reading, skiing, and fishing and socializing with the "coffee group."

Many thanks go to all the nurses and doctors who took care of him on the third floor of the Comox Valley Hospital.

A celebration of life will be arranged for June 15 in the afternoon at Kitty Coleman Park.
