Lillian Mason

Mason - Lillian, 74, Courtenay, died December 31, 2003. Born and lived all her life in the Dove Creek area, she was an active member of the community including the Anglican Church of St. John the Divine, 10 years as a Board Member for Abbeyfield House, a life member with the Dove Creek Women’s Institute, a 4-H Leader for 20+ years and a volunteer with the Stroke Recovery Club. She enjoyed helping others and received the “Heart Of Gold Award” in recognition of outstanding contribution to the community.

Lillian was predeceased by husband David (1984), and siblings Albert Ward, Ethel Winnig, and Grace Craddock. She is survived by siblings Norm Ward (Courtenay) and Rose-Marie Winnig (Campbell River), children Robert (Ft. St. John), Wenda (& Fred Sedun, Victoria), and Dan (& Lesleigh, Black Creek) and her two cherished grandsons, Graham and Greg Sedun.

A funeral service under the direction of Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, will be held at the Anglican Church of St. John the Divine, Courtenay, Saturday, January 10, 2004 at 2:00 pm with the Rt. Rev. John T. Frame officiating, followed by fellowship and refreshments in the church hall. Cremation will follow with interment in St. Andrew’s Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to St. John the Divine New Regeneration Fund, 579 - 5th Street, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 1K2 or a charity of choice.
