Passed away peacefully on September 27, 2002 after a courageous battle with cancer. Len was born in Trochu, Alberta December 25, 1920. He was a veteran of WWII. He worked as a machinist in Vancouver and later as a sales representative for Lister Bolt and Chain in Vancouver. In his retirement he moved to Comox to be closer to his family. He is survived by loving wife Flora of 56 years and will always be remembered by sons Dave and wife Anita, Dan and wife Rosanna and daughter Elizabeth and husband Ron. He is also survived by his loving grandchildren Kevin, Jaime, Shannon and Garth. Special thank you to Len’s caregivers, People at Home and Palliative Care of St. Joseph’s Hospital. A memorial service will be held at Piercy’s Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay on Oct. 3, 2002 at 3:00pm with Rev. Maggie Enwright officiating. Donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation in Len’s memory.
