Reeves, Laurence
Laurence Reeves passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2002 at the age of 62 years. Laurence was truly loved by those who surrounded him; he was gentle, kind, and very caring. Laurence had a love for singing, gardening, and caring for animals. Laurence touched the hearts of all who met him. He had a terrific sense of humour and loved to socialize. He will be greatly missed by “aunties’ Karie, Colleen, and Pam and all the people at the Extended Care Unit at St. Joseph’s Hospital, the Powell family whom he lived with for many years, and all his friends at CAPS and the Beaufort Association. He will be truly missed. Laurence was a man of charm. When the smile split across his face, his eyes crinkled up, and the words “ah, you’re cute” come out of his mouth it was impossible not to melt. Give him his “black coffee” with some playful company, and you had a contented man - and Laurence indeed, spent a great deal of his time very contented. In his unique way he practiced the art of giving and receiving and lived his life with a fine sense of who he was. I am absolutely certain that any memory of Laurence will be accompanied by a loving smile and a warm heart. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 10 at 1:30 p.m. from Piercy’s Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Brandon officiating. Interment to follow in Courtenay Civic Cemetery. PIERCY’S FUNERAL HOME has been entrusted with the arrangements.
