Dreger, Larry F
Born April 2, 1944 in Lampman, Sask. Larry passed away on December 7, 2005 after a brief battle with pneumonia. He is predeceased by his parents Rudy and Hazel Dreger of Weyburn, niece Chantal Dreger and father-in-law Len Green of Devon, AB.
A graduate of the University of Saskatchewan in 1967. Larry worked as a P.Eng. in Saskatchewan, Alberta, NWT and BC with BC being his favorite place to call home. Larry enjoyed a 30 year friendship and working relationship with Hank and they brought a chuckle to the many who encountered them.. at the office.. each trying to outwit the other.
Larry is survived by his wife Elana, daughter Corey (Drew & Lauren) Hetherington of Victoria; sister Elaine (Wayne) Knibbs of Weyburn, SK; brother Dennis Dreger of Errington, BC. Dean & Riley Dreger, Kim & Ashlee Dreger; sister-in-law Vicki; aunt Anna Wilkinson of Weyburn, along with nieces Gail (Gerry) Dube, Daylee (Al) Marr, Deanda (Kelly) Van Desype, Sharla (Kim) Folk; and many great-nieces and nephews from Saskatchewan, as well as extended family in Alberta.
An avid fisherman who had to admit on many occasions that his daughter had outfished him once again. Larry and his dad both were Amateur Radio Operators since 1961 and this will be the final sign off for VE7 BZX.
The family would like to thank the ICU doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s & Victoria General Hospitals for their compassion and support as well as Dr. Crowe and Chaplain Gordon Carter for their calm assurances.
