In loving memory ~

Kevin was a loving son, brother and friend to so many. He is survived by his father, Jeannott (John), brother Dean, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Sadly, Kevin was predeceased by his beloved mother in 2020.

His Father was in the military, so we grew up on the base, went to elementary school in Germany, and moved to Comox in the early 80's. And ended up going to school here with several other kids he knew while in Germany. He graduated from Highland Secondary School, where he played rugby and was known for his speed. In fact, that is where he got the nickname, Gogo.

In the early years, he worked at Bino's Restaurant, where he made close friendships with many of his coworkers. For most of his adult life Kev worked for the Town of Comox from which he retired in 2023.

He loved camping, tubing down Puntledge River, being with friends, and nice cars. Sitting on the beach, baking oysters, and floating around, at the Spit, were some of his favourite things to do. Kevin was a kind, thoughtful and selfless person, and a very giving friend. He was always willing to help a friend.

He married Lisa and later divorced, but they remained good friends. In the last decade of his life, he spent most of his time with Brenda Bell. Brenda and Kevin knew each other as teenagers and decades later reconnected when Kev asked her on a date. They soon realized that they would just be friends. They became each other's person and were the best of friends, loved, and supported one another, to the day he died.

Kev, we will miss your kind heart and those beautiful smiling eyes.

Until we all meet again, know that you were so loved and now you can enjoy your reunion with your mom.

A Celebration of Life will take place Sunday, March 24, 2024, starting at 2 pm, at 3565 Island Hwy, S, Courtenay.
