Acorn, Keith
1918 - 2003
Keith died peacefully while fly fishing on May 25th, 2003 at beautiful Anderson Lake.
He was born in Peers, Alberta on July 19, 1918. While serving for the RCAF in Dauphine, Manitoba in 1945 he met and married Ollie. They moved to the Comox Valley to settle and raise their three children. Keith worked as a scaler and boomman on Hornby Island and for Comox Logging. For a number of years he was involved with family business Cochrane Fuel and Trucking and Cochrane Paving. Keith worked for the City of Courtenay until his retirement at age 65. Keith had a great passion for life. Family and friends meant everything to him. His love for life took him outdoors to X-country ski, fish, golf, triathlons, and Sno to Surf Racing. Keith spent 50 years at the Curling Rink where his friends called him Blackie. A crazy sense of humour and a passion for fun made him a joy to everyone.
Keith is survived by his wife of 57 years Ollie; daughters: Diane (Terry), Laurie (Thea), Donnie (Heather); grandchildren: Shannon, Connor, Brent; brother Chauncey and all other family and extended family and countless friends. He was predeceased by sister Eileen and brother Holland.
