Fanning, Judith Anne

12 April 1945 - 12 Sept 2003

Our dear friend Judith left us peacefully, on Friday, September 12, 2003, at St. James Cottage Hospice in Vancouver, B.C.

During the time she lived in the Comox Valley, Judith was involved in a number of organizations; including the first Crisis Centre in the Valley, the B.C. Civil Liberties Association, the Low Income Society, and was a founding member of the C.V. Arts Alliances (CVAG). She worked energetically to support numerous political, social and environmental causes, and along the way, earned the respect and affection of many people.

During the past few years, Judith found great freedom of expression through her art, and garnered much acclaim for her work. A posthumous showing of her most recent paintings is planned for November, at the Britannia Gallery.

A gathering of friends will take place in Vancouver, on Saturday, September 27, to celebrate her life and share in remembrance. FMI call Susan — 335-0689.
