Joseph Rodger Stark

December 28, 2004

Stark, Joseph Rodger “Joe”

In the early morning hours of Tuesday, 28 December 2004, Dad/Grampa/Uncle Joe slipped away peacefully in his sleep, and at home after spending a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. Over the Christmas period, Joe was especially happy to see his granddaughters Felicity and Brittany, Felicity in particular as she had been away at university for a year. Joe was predeceased by his wife Di, and by both his brothers, Bert and Jim. He is survived by his son Rodger, granddaughters Felicity and Brittany, and numerous nephews, nieces, and grandnephews and grandnieces across Canada. For their loving care of Dad over the past few years, special thanks is due to the wonderful folks of We Care Home Health Services, and to Dad’s best buddy Mel Thompson. Their support “above and beyond” made it possible for Dad to live comfortably in his home. RCAF Flight Sergeant (ret’d) Joe Stark is the last of the WW2 generation in our family, and he shall be remembered with love, with honour, and with pride. In Joe’s honour, a Memorial Service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 09, 2005, at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 17 in Courtenay, B.C. COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, entrusted with arrangements.
