Desbiens, Joseph Oliva Paul Emile
Born October 12, 1921 in Fugerville, Temiscamingue, Northern Quebec passed away peacefully on September 4, 2005. He was predeceased by his wife Grace, his brothers Donat and Roland, his stepdaughter Vera Hauck and her husband Roy, his stepson Judson Brown and his grandson Kim. Paul will be lovingly remembered by his stepson Garry Brown; his daughters-in-law Sandra (Earl) Clifford and Helen Brown; his grandchildren: Dale, Cindy, Jim, Susan, Nancy, Troy, Richard and Robin; as well as, 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; his sisters: Noella (Dutch) Sherk and Gemma Tailefer; his brother Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews. Paul came to B.C. with his family as a young man and lived in Pender Harbour. Shortly after he moved to Campbell River, working in construction related jobs, in logging, then finally as a heavy duty equipment operator which took him to various parts of the island. He loved to fish and hunt and was quite successful at both and was always willing to share the experience with whomever wanted to join him. He will be missed by his family and many friends whose lives he has touched through the years. A Memorial Service will be held at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY on Monday, September 19, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. Donations in Paul’s memory made to the B.C.
