It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father. Though he had many medical conditions he continued to amaze us with his perseverance, dignity, and spirit for life. Just recently he was swimming in the pool with his grandchildren, traveling by train to Victoria to visit with his daughter and grandson and standing on a chair to pick blackberries for his jam. . .
It is through such memories that his spirit will continue in all of us. . .

John is survived by Anna Klassen, daughters Vivian Anna Klassen, Kathrine Lee (Klassen) Everson and husband Rob. Grandchildren Dustin John Klassen, Court Lee Klassen, Keisha Margaret Everson, Karver Richard Everson and Kianna Mary Everson. Sisters, Justine Devauld and Elisabeth Borgun and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service to be held in Vanderhoof, 1:00 pm Saturday, August 30, 2003 at The United Church. Viewing to precede service. Interment to be held at Sommerfelder Mennonite Cemetery, Braeside Road.
Reception to follow at The United Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the British Columbia Lung Association.
