Born Nov. 23, 1929 in Pine Falls, Manitoba passed away Monday, March 7th, 2005 in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox, BC. Predeceased by his wife Simonne, of 35 years, on September 11, 1986. Survived by his wife Leona Joyce; daughter Bernadette (Maury) Lac La Hache BC; sons: Fern (Laurie) Lac La Hache, BC, Robert (Joanne) Edmonton AB; stepsons: Philip Ballan, Albert (Gail) Ballan Courtenay BC, Tom (Bev) Port Alberni BC; daughter Dianne (Dennis) Port Alberni BC; 13 grandchildren: Travis (Tara) Langley BC, Coreena Toronto Ontario, Andrea (Shane) 103 Mile House BC, Leanne (Matthew) Prince George BC, Kenneth Lac La Hache BC, Mandy (Richard) Edmonton AB, John, Robert Edmonton AB, Dawn (Gordon) Port Alberni BC  Lacy, Port Alberni BC William and Jamee Port Alberni BC, Rebecca Courtenay BC; great-grandson, Clayton 103 Mile House BC.

Evan worked at several mills, mainly carpentry in different locations over the years. He liked fishing, hunting, woodworking and has a natural talent for music as well. He loved his guitar, had a lovely voice, that inspired and entertained lots of people over the years. He will be sadly missed but will forever be in the hearts of his relatives and friends. As per Evans’ wish, there will be no service.

Thanks to Dr. R. Mcnie, Dr. Musgrave, health care nurses and the wonderful staff of the 3rd floor Palliative Care at St. Joseph’s Hospital.
