Jack was born on June 15, 1921 and passed away on January 23, 2003 in his 82nd year. Jack is survived by his loving wife Margaret of 54 years; daughter Diana (Gordon); two granddaughters: Susan (Sean) and Lisa (Dave); three great-granddaughters: Miaya, Sarah and Angela; also sister Kate and sister-in-law Elaine (Art); and many nieces and nephews. A special mention to his nephews, Ted (Sherry) and Barry (Janette) for their help and kindness. He will be missed by many acquaintances and friends in the community.

Jack was born in Fernie, BC on June 15, 1921. He joined and served the army in World War II from 1940-1945. He came to Fanny Bay in 1945 met Margaret Rogers and they were married July 10, 1948. He was a member of the Fanny Bay Old Age Pensioners, Bowser Legion, Fanny Bay Community Hall and dedicated worker for the community.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Union Bay United Church on Friday, January 31, 2003 at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow at the Bill Woods Room, Union Bay Hall.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
