Ramsay - James William “Jim” of Courtenay, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family at his home on Saturday, May 11th, 2002, age 46. He is survived by his wife Karen; daughters Natalie and Vanessa; sister Linda (Neil) Mitchaluk; stepbrothers Rob (Ida) Howe, Ross (Ursula) Howe, Leslie Howe, Doug (Sonia) Howe and stepsister Dianne Howe. Jim is survived as well by his mother Lyn Howe; father James (Elaine) Ramsay; mother-in-law Erma Johnson, sister-in-law Sheila (Rob) Wishart and many nieces and nephews. A master carpenter, Jim owned and operated his own construction company in Hay River, N.W.T., prior to moving to the Comox Valley in 1992 where he assumed the position of Canadian Forces Housing Agency Inspector. In addition to his love of woodworking, Jim was an avid skier, mountain biker and fisherman. A Service of Remembrance in celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, May 16th at 2 p.m. from the CHAPEL of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD.
