1926 ~ 2004

Born in Fahler, Alberta, passed away peacefully from cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox, BC, on May 17, 2004.

Predeceased by his wife Violet Ellen (White) and daughter Heather Lane. Survived by daughters: Jackie (Dan) Gray of Courtenay and Carol (Wayne) Barson of Qualicum; grandchildren: Bill, Danean, and Jeff Gray; and great granddaughter Drew Ferland-Gray.

Bill moved to the Comox Valley at age 16 to work at the coalmine in Bevan. He spent most of his working life at the Comox Creamery - Dairyland from 1949-1984. He was very active in sports in the Valley: softball, curling, alley and lawn bowling.

The Family invites Bill’s friends and relatives to a “Celebration of Bill’s Life” at the Merville Hall (Island Highway) on Saturday, May 29, 2004 at 1:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation Chemotherapy Unit, 2137 Comox Avenue, Comox, BC, V9M 1P2.
