A Truck Drivers Prayer

The Cummins is my motor

I shall not want.

It maketh me to lie down on cold mornings

to warmeth its pan

It leadeth me into large mud holes

It restoreth my soul;

Sometimes, it leadeth me into the paths, they call roads.

Yea! Tho I roar thru the valleys

I shall be pulled up the hills.

Thy rods and thy tappets comfort me

Thou breakest down in the presence of mine enemies.

Thou coverest mine head with oil

Thy radiator boilest over.

Surely thy noise and troubles shall follow me

all the days of my life.

And I shall be haunted by the

ghost of Cummins forever.

Amen

Jim Amos
