Cavers, James Kennedy “Jim” of Fanny Bay passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s General Hospital, Comox, on Sunday September 25th, 2005. He is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife Joan; sons and daughters Jim (Penny) Cavers, Eileen (Theo) Dombrowski, Bill (Sharon) Cavers and Beth Cavers (Ralph Petry); niece Isabelle (Trevor) Tucker; granchildren Ken, Mike, Steve, Matt, Conrad, Megan, Lee, Jessica, Sioned, Ben, Emily, Tina and Andrew as well as 11 great grandchildren.
Jim spent 16 years in the pulp and paper industry in Port Alice and 24 years as an educator in Port Alberni.
A gathering of family and friends in celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, October 1st at 1:00 p.m. from Comox Valley Funeral Home and Crematorium, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay with fellowship and refreshments following in the “Garden Room” of the funeral home. Instead of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, 2137 Comox Avenue, Comox, BC V9M 1P2 in his memory.
The Rhododendrons at Ship’s Point will miss him and the salmon at Norris Rocks will sleep easier.
