In Loving Memory ~

It is with extreme sadness the family announces the passing of our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Jim passed away peacefully at the age of 84, in the Views Seniors home on Saturday, September 16th with his family by his side.

Jim is predeceased by his wife Patricia, mother Effie, father John and sister Jean.

He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his daughters Darlene ( Faruk ) and Karen. Grandchildren Robert (Janice), Amanda (Steph), Samantha, Russell, Isaac, Marylee. Great-Grandchildren Devan, Isaiah, Eli, and Colby.

Jim was born in Toronto, Ontario in 1938 and moved to Vancouver, BC as a child.

He met the love of his life Patricia in Gibsons in 1956 and went on to marry and have two daughters, Darlene and Karen.

He later retired to Fanny Bay in 2000 where he enjoyed his rose garden, beekeeping, hockey games and spending time with his pets.

The family would like to thank the wonderful care team at Mountain View-2 for providing Jim with great care during his time there, prior the homecare team of VIHA for their great care of Jim at home.

Thank you to Dr. Swanson for his years of wonderful care.

Jim's Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 3rd, at 1:00pm at Comox Valley Funeral Home and Cremation, 1101 Ryan Road.

Interment will follow at the Courtenay Civic Cemetery.
