1908-2004


Ingle Burton “Burt” Blanchard, aged 95, of Comox passed away at St. Joseph’s General Hospital in Comox, BC on Sunday, May 30, 2004.

Burt was predeceased by his wife; Marge. He is survived by his daughters: Patricia Lee Blanchard of Comox and Dorothy Lynn Blanchard of Comox and a grand-daughter Erin Quinn (Douglas Litherl) of Vancouver.

Burt worked for Dupont in Montreal, but being a cowboy at heart, when he retired he had a ranch near High River, Alberta for 26 years and then moved to Comox in 1996 where he enjoyed wheeling his chair with his little dog at the air park.

A gathering of family and friends with refreshments will take place at COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD on Friday, June 4, 2004 between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. in the “Garden Room and Outdoor Patio”.

Donations in Burt’s memory may be made to the Comox Valley and District SPCA, Box 1284, Comox, BC V9N 7Z8 or to Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society, 6817 Headquarters Road, Courtenay, BC V9J 1N2 with appreciation.
