December 3, 1920 - December 19, 2004

Helen passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 19 in the company of her daughters in Comox.

Born in Peterson, Saskatche-wan, Helen and her husband Fred lived for many years in Prince Rupert, B.C. before retiring in 1974 to Salmon Arm, B.C. where she was able to tend to her beloved garden and flowers, with the help of her grandchildren.

Predeceased by Fred in 1995, Helen moved to Courtenay in 1996 to be close to her daughters, grandchildren and family on the Island.

She is survived by her children Bob (Deanna), Marilyn (Bill) and Elaine (Jim), grandchildren Gina, Marty, Nicholas (Tracy), Andrew, Alicia (Ian) and Janell; and great-grandchildren Ray-elle, Seryna, Lanaya and Cay-den, as well as brothers Jim and Peter, and sister Mary; and many nieces, nephews and their families.

A private service for family will be held to celebrate Helen’s life.

Thank you to all those who have expressed their condolences to the family. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or St. Joseph’s ICU in lieu of flowers.
