In loving memory ~

Hazel was born in Moosejaw Saskatchewan to Walter and Lillian McGee. She lived in Moosejaw until she moved to Marville, France with her new husband, Bill in 1964. Their two sons, David and Bradley were born overseas over the next two years. In June 1967 the family moved back to Canada and resided in Courtenay BC where she lived for all but a three year period spent in Port McNeill from 1979 - 1981.

Hazel worked as a telephone operator for the military for many years. She also loved working at Hallmark Cards, the Salvation Army Thrift store and all her many volunteer "jobs" over most of her life.

Hazel was well known for her great sense of humor, for being hardworking and having a big giving heart.

Hazel loved to spend time with her children and adored all her grandkids and great grandkids. Her Saskatchewan family were never far from her heart. She also loved her time with the "girls" as she would refer to all her special girlfriends.

Hazel was married to her loving husband, Bill for 61 years.

She will be greatly missed.

Predeceased by her father Walter, mother Lillian, sister Irene, brother Ernie, brother Rick, sister Alice and brother Don.

Survived by her loving husband , Bill, sons David (Carla), Bradley (Lorna) and stepdaughters Debbie (Albert), Brenda along with 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of life held at the Courtenay Fellowship Baptist Church on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 10:00 am.
