In loving memory ~
Predeceased by sister Betty, brothers Ken and Norman, and daughter Jennifer. Born and raised in Victoria where he enjoyed much time sailing.
Later training as a carpenter, he met and married his wife, Eleanor, through family and then moved to Parksville. Dad worked several years at the Alberni pulp mill before moving to Courtenay to work for the B.C. highways as a machine operator.
Travelling around B.C., and gardening kept him busy during this time. Still, with B.C. Highways, he changed jobs and then looked after signage on North Vancouver Island for many more years.
Retiring, Dad continued to garden, travel, and volunteered at St. George's church in various duties. Adding carving model boats and painting kept Dad busy through 2 heart attacks.
Huge thanks to the home care team that assisted Dad, thanks to Doctor McFadden and the amazing team at Comox Valley Hospital.
