Gwennyth Honor Leach

August 5, 2002

Gwennyth Honor (King) Leach

August 18, 1928 to August 5, 2002

In the early hours of Monday, August 5th, 2002, Gwen Leach passed away peacefully in her sleep. Gwen had recently enjoyed a reunion at her birthplace, Salt Spring Island, and a barbeque with the Monarchists.

Left to mourn Gwen’s passing...yet to celebrate her life...are her mother Gwladys (Eileen) King, brother Paul and his family, four daughters: Marnie, Liz, Sue and Jan (Pat); two granddaughters: Carey (Shawn) and Erin; six grandsons: Ian (Laurie), John-Michael, Landon (Cherie), Matt, Adam, and Ben; one great-granddaughter Mya and Gwen’s many ’extended families’ within the Comox Valley Community.

Always giving of herself, Gwen supported her family through life’s challenges, volunteered for the S.P.C.A., ’baked up a storm’ for various fund-raisers, brought joy and ’mini pancakes’ to Extended Care residents, and enjoyed a special bond with the fellowship of St. Peter’s Anglican Church in Comox.

Family and friends gathered at St. Peter’s on the 8th of August to remember, with love and appreciation, a wonderful person who will live forever in our hearts and minds.
