Gordon Gagne passed away peacefully at St Josephs ECU on Febuary 14th. Gord was born in Campbell River, BC September 30, 1948, son of Francis and MargaretÂ&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Gagne who have a rich history in the Campbell River areaÂ&²Ô²ú²õ±è; and attended school in Campbell River before embarking on a career in the Canadian Armed Forces.Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è; Gord went to Quebec for basic training and went on to Clinton, Ontario. Gord was married in 1974 in Nova Scotia to Peggie Gagne (nee: MacLellan).Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;He was posted all over Canada includingÂ&²Ô²ú²õ±è; Saskatchewan, Nova Scotia, Ontario, and British Columbia. Gord was an avid and skilled curler, as well as a great dart player. He was a loving and fun man that loved his sports with a big spot in his heart for the Vancouver Canucks. He will be sorely missed. He is survived by his mother Margaret Gagne of Campbell River, his brother Medric of Port Hardy, his son Jason Gagne of Calgary, AB, Jason’s wife Lyndsay and his granddaughter Payge. Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;His wife Peggie of 30 years passed away in September of 2005.Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è; Special thanks go out to Doctor Bowler and an extra special thanks to all the staff at the ECU in Comox that gave him outstanding care for so long. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Extended Care Unit at the St. Joseph’s Hospital. Â&²Ô²ú²õ±è;Funeral Service will be held at the Comox Valley Funeral Home on Ryan Rd on Friday, February 17 at 11am.
