Gerald Lalonde

Lalonde - Gerald “Gerry” of Courtenay, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Thursday, April 18th, 2002, at age 76. He will be dearly missed by his wife Theresa, his children, grand-children, great-grandchildren and his extended family and many friends.


Gerry served for 3-1/2 years with the Canadian Army during World War Two, then re-enlisted with the RCAF in 1951 and was stationed at CFB Comox from May of 1963 to August of 1972, when he retired from the forces. He was a longtime member of the Elks and of Branch 160, Royal Canadian Legion, Comox.


In his leisure, he was an avid and skilled dart player.


Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated from Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, CFB Comox on Tuesday, April 23rd, followed by a gathering of family and friends in celebration of his life at Branch 160, Royal Canadian Legion, COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD, entrusted with arrangements.
