In Loving Memory (1929-2023) ~
George Andrews died peacefully, surrounded by family, April 29th at the Comox Valley Hospital after a short illness.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father and a cherished patriarch to a large extended family across the country.
He led a long and happy life, was many things to many people, a proud veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces, hockey coach and fan, past Worshipful Master of Cumberland Masonic Lodge, Inventor, and cyclist extraordinaire.
George was a member of the Courtenay Royal Canadian Legion, Courtenay Kiawanis, the White Cane Club, and the Hard of Hearing.
The family extends its deepest gratitude for the kindness and compassion shown by Dr. Nancy McFadden and Island Health. Sincere thanks to Pastor Kevin Platz and Pastor Al Dudiak.
There will be a memorial service for George on Thursday, May 25th at 11:00 am and the Faith Lutheran Church - 1688 McPhee Ave, Courtenay.
