HANNA, FLOSSIE E.
(nee Parkin)
Born July 28, 1922 to Isaac and Annie Parkin in Headquarters, B.C. Died peacefully in the Campbell River Hospital May 31, 2004. Flossie is survived by her sister Isabel and four loving children, Henri (Linda), Norman (Jane), Laura (Wayne) and Walter (Sharon); 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Flossie was raised in Headquarters, BC and attended school in Tsolum. She married Jules Herbin in 1941. After living in Union Bay, Campbell River and Nanaimo they settled in Sayward. After Jules died in 1970 she eventually moved back to the Comox Valley where she lived, met and married Murray Hanna (who passed away in 1993). Flossie was involved with special needs children in Courtenay. Through her life she was involved with several other community organizations. Flossie will be remembered as an exceptional woman who lived life to the fullest.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 5, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at the C.R. Vineyard Church, 2215 Campbell River. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
